Street shot of my new ride, just after I got it home.
Originally I was looking for an 88-93 Saab 900 Turbo or SPG. But after having trouble finding one without 200K + miles I decided to look at 9000 Aero's (or 91-92 Turbos). I found a few nice ones on the internet but they were sold before I called about them. I test drove a 92 9000 Turbo and had a blast (I would bought it but it was sold 2 days later before I could get financed). So I searched again and found my car, a 1994 Saab 9000 Aero (5-speed), only problem was it was in Boston. I called immediately and put a deposit on the car so he would hold it for me. Skipped pre graduation festivities to go test drive the car and I loved it so I finished the paperwork and a week later I drove my new baby home from Beantown (a 4-5 hour drive with no problem whatsoever). |
Future Plans (possible and unpossible)
Replace all the suspension bushings with polyurethane. Replace the Front and Rear Swaybars with SAS swaybars. Replace the Shock with Koni's or Bilstein's. Replace the Springs with B+G or H+R or Intrax.
Get a stage 4 ECU (300+HP and about 400 lb.ft. of torque) or a full stage 4 kit including ECU, MAP sensor, Injectors, FPR and new compressor wheel for the turbo.
Do a 4 to 5-lug conversion and procure 17" 9-5 Aero wheels.
Upgrade to 2003 9-5 Aero brakes (calipers/rotors)
Explanation of the links that appear on the left. (and above)

After a wash and wax (still with 15" winter rims/tires)
I try to keep this car clean, which isn't easy in western NY where snow and rain are more abundant than air.
